GoLakeLure.com – a fresh, new Smartphone app and companion website in Lake Lure – is making it easier for both locals and visitors to connect to one another and find area information with the click of a button. Unlike anything the area has ever had, the adventurous, all-purpose app and website give residents a source for sharing and seeking area news and updates while providing travelers with convenient information on lodging, dining, and activities.

The app/website is the newest enterprise of Mark and Genevieve Helms, owners of Lake Lure Adventure Company, and partner George Waterman, founder and lead designer of Groovy Logic website development.

Showcasing the adventurous, yet easygoing spirit and lifestyle of Lake Lure and the Hickory Nut Gorge, business and community leaders are encouraged to submit updates, guest blog posts and upcoming events while encouraging guests and customers to use the app and website, too.“Communication in the Gorge has been fragmented and our goal is to improve and reconnect it,” said Mark. “Whether you want to know what’s happening at town hall or are looking for something to do on the weekend, we want to put it on Go Lake Lure, and we hope people will learn to rely on it as their main source for local information.”
